The Youth Leadership Project (YLP) was founded in 1996 in the Southeast Asian community of the northwest Bronx to build the leadership capacity of Cambodian and Vietnamese youth to develop youth-led intergenerational strategies to address community-wide struggles. YLP runs a year-long program which begins with an intensive 8-week summer program to develop the consciousness and skills of Southeast Asian youth through leadership development program and intergenerational organizing campaigns.
