Coalition Building

CAAAV is a partner in a global movement for justice for all people.  Coalitions allow us to extend our reach beyond New York City to create greater impact.

  • Right to the City National Alliance is comprised of membership-based organizations and allies organizing to build a united response to gentrification and displacement in our cities.  The goal is to build a national urban movement for housing, education, health, racial justice and democracy.
  • Chinatown Alliance is a coalition of grassroots organization fighting against gentrification in Chinatowns across the United States.
  • Grassroots Global Justice is an alliance of U.S.-based grassroots groups who are organizing to build an agenda for power for working and poor people. We understand that there are important connections between the local issues we work on and the global context, and we see ourselves as part of an international movement for global justice.
  • Peoples’ Justice is a coalition of NYC-based grassroots orgnaizations that have joined forces t in community control and police accountability. Pj was initiated by the NYC Coalition Against Police Brutality (CAPB) ans allies.
